About This Event

Join us for a joyful celebration as we officially open the doors of Friendly Grounds Café at The Friendship Place – and what better day to celebrate than National Latte Day!

This grand opening is more than a ribbon-cutting – it’s a celebration of community, inclusion, and opportunity. Friendly Grounds Café is a welcoming, real-world coffee shop where adults with disabilities receive hands-on vocational training, gaining valuable job and life skills in a supportive environment.

What to Expect:

  • Celebrate National Latte Day with delicious coffee and café favorites
  • Be among the first to experience Friendly Grounds Café
  • Meet the incredible participants who bring the café to life
  • Learn more about the mission and impact of The Friendship Place
  • Support a purpose-driven space where every purchase helps fund ongoing programs

The Mayor will also receive the first official latte, served by a Dreamplex client, marking the beginning of a new chapter for inclusive employment in the community!

Every cup poured at Friendly Grounds helps build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections. By joining us, you’re not just enjoying great coffee – you’re supporting a space where individuals of all abilities are empowered to grow, learn, and shine.

Come sip, celebrate, and support with us on National Latte Day!

We can’t wait to welcome you and share this special milestone – one latte at a time.
