Cathy Doucette has been married since 1988 and is the proud mother of two children, Amelia and Noah. Following a traumatic birth injury that left her daughter Amelia with severe disabilities, Cathy has been a lifelong advocate for her and others in the disability community.

After moving to Florida in 2006, Amelia began receiving services through Central Florida Dreamplex and continues today through on-site therapy, The Friendship Place, Dreamplex Stars Cheerleading, and Adaptive Ski programs. Cathy is an active volunteer and has a special place in her heart for The Friendship Place.
