Dreamplex Para Sports – Track & Field Program
Central Florida Dreamplex

Participation in the Dreamplex Para Sports Track & Field Program is a privilege and comes with shared responsibilities.
This Code of Conduct sets expectations for athletes, parents/guardians, and coaches/volunteers to create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for everyone involved.

By checking the box below, the athlete and, if applicable, the parent/guardian, agree to uphold the following standards:

Expectations for All Athletes

As a Dreamplex Para Sports Track & Field athlete, I agree to:

Respect Coaches, Volunteers, Officials, and Teammates

I will listen to my coaches and volunteers, who are dedicated to helping me improve my skills and grow as an athlete and teammate.

Give My Best Effort

I will try my hardest in all practices and competitions, stay patient with myself, and maintain a positive attitude—even when challenges arise.

Commit to Attendance

I will make every effort to attend and actively participate in all scheduled practices, track meets, and team events.
If I cannot attend, I will notify my coaches in advance.

Display Good Sportsmanship

I understand there is zero tolerance for physical or verbal abuse toward coaches, officials, teammates, opponents, spectators, or volunteers.
This includes unsportsmanlike behavior, bullying, or disrespect on or off the track/field.

Consequences for violations may include warnings, loss of participation in events, suspension from team activities, or removal from the program.

Respect Team Decisions

I will support the coaches’ plans, strategies, and event assignments.
If I have concerns—such as about event participation or training—I will speak directly and respectfully to my coach or the program director at an appropriate time (not during practices or competitions).

Represent the Team with Pride

I understand that my actions reflect on Dreamplex Para Sports and the Central Florida Dreamplex organization, both on and off the track/field.
I will strive to be a positive representative in my community and at all events.

Youth Athletes Only: Maintain School Performance

I understand this is an extra-curricular activity, and my grades and behavior at school must remain at an acceptable level to participate.

If my grades fall below a "C" average in any class, I will seek tutoring or other academic support.

I agree to provide a copy of my report card each quarter or semester if requested.

Expectations for Parents/Guardians (Youth Athletes Only)

As a parent/guardian of a Dreamplex Para Sports athlete, I pledge to:

Support My Child Positively

I will provide encouragement and care, placing their emotional and physical well-being above any desire to win.

Model Good Sportsmanship

I will demonstrate positive behavior and respect toward athletes, coaches, officials, and other spectators at every practice, meet, and team event.

Respect That the Program is for the Athletes

I understand that youth sports are for the benefit of the athletes, not the adults, and I will avoid sideline coaching or negative interactions.

Encourage Respect in My Child

I will teach my child to treat all individuals—athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators—with dignity and respect, regardless of ability, background, race, gender, or religion.

Commit to Attendance

I will make every effort to ensure my child attends all practices and meets and will notify the coaches in advance if they cannot attend.

Trust the Coaches’ Decisions

I understand that the coaches have the final say on training plans, event assignments, and competition participation.
If there are concerns, I will encourage my child to advocate for themselves respectfully by speaking directly with the coach outside of practices or meets.

Acknowledgement and Agreement

By checking the box below, the athlete and, if applicable, the parent/guardian acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to this Code of Conduct.
They understand that failure to follow these expectations may result in disciplinary action, including warnings, loss of participation in events, suspension, or removal from the program.
